I debated posting because I don't have experience observing 79 year
old women. I don't know what behavior is normal.
I decided to observe House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after noticing an
expression on her face that reminded me of the facial expression
comic Imogene Coca used when she wanted to appear dopey.
As I observed her behavior she seemed at times to behave as if
she was unaware of where she was and that millions of people
were watching her. I initially thought she might have
been affected by alcohol or medication.
After she childishly tore up the speech I realized some of her
earlier behavior was childish. Childish behavior
in a 79 year old might indicate a problem. Someone
who knows more such matters than I
do should watch a video of Pelosi at SOTU.

Kansas Municipal Courts Are Unconstitutional
Kansas municipal courts violate both the state and
federal constitutions.
Kansas municipal courts don't have the constitutional authority to legally fine people, take property or place people in jail, but do so anyway. The Kansas Constitution assigns the judicial power to courts under the administrative control of the Kansas Supreme Court. Cities have no authority to operate separate court systems under the control of city governments.
Cities can only exercise governmental powers as an agency of the state of Kansas because the U.S. Constitution only allows state and federal government agencies to exercise governmental powers.
Kansas municipal court "judges" are really private contractors who are retained to raise revenue for cities by imposing fines on those accused by the city of violating its ordinances. The "judge" negotiates a contract to perform a service for the city government in exchange for a salary.
Allowing the city manager who is the boss of the police department to be the boss of the municipal court judge violates the due process clause of the 14th Amendment because the courts must be independent of law enforcement to insure the opportunity for a fair trial. Using fines and court costs imposed on defendants to fund the court gives the court a vested interest in finding people guilty.
In many cities, the city governing body determines who will get the contract to run the "court" for the city. Some use a more questionable process with the city manager choosing the "judge" along with the prosecutor and police chief. "Judges" who fail to raise sufficient revenue may find themselves replaced by someone who might do a better job.
One of the main reasons for making the federal courts separate from the executive branch and providing fair trial guarantees was to prevent misuse of the criminal justice system and insure that only those who actually violated legitimate laws were punished. Defendants can have no expectation of fair treatment when the same body hires and fires both the judge and the police chief.
The use of fines as a revenue source has enough potential for abuse even with independent judges because government may enact laws, including minor traffic laws such as "speed traps", for the primary purpose of raising money rather than to prevent behavior that threatens public safety.
The U.S. Constitution made the judiciary a separate branch of government to prevent the executive branch from misusing the criminal justice system to punish political opponents, rather than to allow Supreme Court justices to impose their political views on elected officials. The framers of the Constitution recognized that an independent judiciary was more likely to respect the rights of defendants than take orders from the executive.
An official who signs a contract with the executive to handle cases involving violations of local ordinances may have the title of "judge", but does not qualify as the independent arbiter required by the U.S. Constitution to determine whether those accused of violating laws can be punished.
An ambitious attorney might be able to put together a class action law suit on behalf of those illegally fined or jailed by the municipal court. False imprisonment cases could be lucrative because the attorney could sue the judge, the city and any county jail that accepts city prisoners.

Investigate Bidengate Before Impeachment
The Senate cannot determine if Donald Trump's investigation of Bidengate was appropriate without investigating Bidengate. The basic facts imply Joe Biden's actions could have hampered the Obama administration’s effort to curb Ukraine’s endemic corruption. After Vice President Joe Biden began his investigation the oil & gas company Burisma Holdings hired his son Hunter Biden. Joe Biden admits he leveraged his White House position to have then Ukraine's leading prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired in March 2016, but claims it was because Shokin wasn’t doing enough.
People in the prosecutor's office might have felt Vice President Joe Biden didn’t want them to investigate his son's employer or even that they should investigate rivals of Burisma Holdings instead.
.Only a full investigation can determine if Vice President Joe Biden’s actions discouraged or encouraged corruption in Ukraine.

Jealousy controls pathetic anti-Trump Democrats. Donald Trump is like the football hero who married the home coming queen and then got rich. Jealous Democrats think Trump also being President is too much success for one man. Jealous Democrats want to pull Trump down to their level because they cannot rise to his. Jealous Democrats oppose his actions because they want Trump to fail. Jealous Democrats even condemn Trump for continuing the Obama administration practice of killing violent military leaders.

Stable Best Place for Jesus Birth
I'm tired of people applying 21st Century standards to Jesus birth
place
Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem.
Luke 2:7 "While they were there, the time came for her Child to be born. 7And she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."
A manger in a stable might not be a good place to have a baby today, but 2,000 years ago a stable was probably the best place for a visitor to Bethlehem to have her first baby.
There are two suggested definitions for what "inn" means. One type "inn" had a large common room in which people slept on the floor .I've forgotten the name of .the preacher who pointed out that offering Mary room in a stable would have provided her with privacy for her truly blessed event she wouldn’t have had in a large common room.
The alternate "inn" was a guest room in a private home. Some believe the owner rejected Joseph and Mary because they weren’t married. It seems more likely Joseph, to protect Mary's honor , told people they were married and he was the father.
Most guest room owners probably had a policy of not offering a room to those with young children or women about to give birth. New babies would be undesirable in either type "inn" because of their crying.
Most people think of Luke as if it said "because there was no room --- in the inn." instead of '" because there was no room for them in the inn." The inn might have had room for someone other than Joseph and Mary.
Biblehub.com points out the stable would have been empty and clean because the animals were in the fields Mary had privacy and didn’t have to worry that people would complain when her baby cried.

Animal Lovers Shouldn’t Eat At Chick-fil-A
Christian Animal Ethics reports
Chick-fil-A "chickens are bred to grow so large, so quickly, that
many of them suffer crippling leg deformities. Because their breasts
grow abnormally large while their skeletons and other organs lag
behind, their legs often break under the weight of their own
bodies."
Chickens at Chick-fil-A "factory farm suppliers don’t see the light of day or receive any exercise. Most have trouble breathing in the overcrowded, filthy conditions while many others suffer heart failure and chronic pain."
To keep Chick-fil-A "chickens eating and growing as much as possible, their sleep is restricted by keeping the interior lights of the warehouses illuminated at almost all times."
Many Chick-fil-A "chickens die on the warehouse floor, their bodies rotting among the other chickens, adding to the overall stress and unhygienic conditions."
.This last situation discourages me from eating at Chick-fil-A. Such conditions encourage diseases that chickens can transmit to humans like the urinary tract infection causing intestinal bacterium Enterococcus faecalis and salmonella.
